Letter from Steve

This past winter was the mildest I can remember, which made plowing snow much easier than last winter. When I wasn’t plowing, I was busy coaching Oceans AAA hockey team, and although hockey might be my favorite sport, I enjoy that landscaping often feels like a sport of its own.

Last years recession made the 2009 season a bit quieter than past years, but it looks like 2010 is shaping up to be a busier season. Tracey will start the season with our returning maintenance clients, and is always eager for more lawns & gardens to care for. Last fall we planted a collection of perennials in the field to use in our landscaping projects. They have survived the winter, and we plan to grow additional varieties this season. Mike, Ali & Gord have all returned as landscape foreman with Janet still in charge of keeping us all in line.

I want to thank everyone for your continued support and referrals, So much of our business comes from our long time loyal clients, which is a testament to our workmanship, our skill and character of our employees you’ve come to know. I must admit, I do feel a bit dated when we do a project for the now “grown up” children of clients I worked for years ago!

As London grows and expands, I continue to marvel at the thousands of landscapes Nature’s Image has influenced on properties all over the city. As the trees grow bigger and the gardens more colourful; as the waterfalls continue to sooth and the patios continue to act as host for your barbeques & parties, we’re reminded that our purpose as landscapers is not just to install your landscapes but to improve your quality of life.

I truly believe enjoying our outdoor living space and appreciating nature is a Canadian trait that keeps us grounded. I hope everyone is well, your families are healthy and please take time to smell the roses and enjoy your favourite “sport”, whatever it might be.
